"The value of our website has greatly exceeded the investment," celebrates Roy Tanner, Executive Director. But exactly how did that investment come into being? Back in January 1988, the leadership of the Ranch began discussing the idea of launching a presence on the Internet. Many neighboring camping facilities had begun involvement with the World Wide Web, and the need to stay current was at the forefront of the Ranch's thoughts.
Today, this website consists of over 500 pages of information. (That's a LOT bigger!) Working together with the Ranch, Chris Arndt (Webmaster & Graphics Designer), and Steve Tanner (Content Developer & Community Manager), helped work on the purpose of our Internet presence. A four-part purpose was created:

Next week, we'll answer the question, "What'cha been doing?", providing a year in review recap of the activities, additions, and accomplishments that have made this website special. Not
knowing what they were getting into at the time, two Ranch alumni began
volunteer work on a website. On September 15, 1998, PhantomRanch.org
burst onto the World Wide Web with nothing more than one simple page,
consisting of the camp logo and the words "Coming Soon".
