Buildings for Dining

Phantom Ranch has four high quality meeting rooms available. Check out the different buildings and their features before you schedule a group

Dining Hall

Serves up to 220 people family style

Meals at Phantom Ranch are a break from the activities of the day. A chance to refresh and relax, enjoy great food and the company of your friends. Meals are normally served at 8:15am, 12:15pm and 5:30pm.

Food is generally served as all you can eat, until it runs out. The menu is pre-arranged by our Food Service Director, and uses a wide variety of meal plans and choices. We are always willing to work with guests who have food allergies, and other special conditions.

Buildings with Meeting Rooms

Hill Chapel

300 max capacity

Great meeting room for up to 300 people. The main room features a top quality sound system with Bose Speakers, Crown Amps, 16 Channel Mixer. Plug in your instruments and you are ready to go! Phantom Ranch provides at least 3 microphones, direct boxes, and our staff will help you make sure all your audio and video needs are met.

Our high quality video system is ready for you to plug in your own computer, and also includes a DVD player and VHS player.

The rest of the building includes restrooms, a beautiful foyer, and a small room with couches and kitchenette that can be used for prayer, leaders meetings, or small group meetings.

Longhorn

70 max capacity

This meeting room is the perfect place for groups of 12-50 to meet for their weekend retreat. This building has a stage, video projector, sound system, restrooms, and couches. It is large enough to handle a band and energetic worship, and small enough that a speaker may not even need a microphone (though several are available). It is centrally located in the camp, near many of the cabins.

Oaks Chapel

150 max capacity

This is the first building that was built at Phantom Ranch when Midwest Bible Church originally purchased the property in 1954. But do not let the age of the building put you off, it has been completely redone with a modern sound system, energy efficient windows, video projector, stage, central air-conditioning and heating. It is spacious enough to house all but the largest groups, making a cozy environment for teachers and musicians. It is centrally located in the camp, adjacent to our main parking lot.

Dining Hall

Use: smaller groups and breakouts

The Dining Hall makes a good meeting room for smaller groups, or for larger groups to use for break out rooms. The dining hall features two wood burning fire places, always available coffee, and a warm friendly environment.

The tables make great work spaces for writing notes, and the smaller side rooms allow for intimate discussion, prayer, and study.

Climbing Center

Use: indoor activity area

The SrA Daniel J Johnson Memorial Climbing Center has 11 ropes over 20 routes on a 30′ wall and an indoor bouldering wall.

  • Retreat groups can book time to use the climbing center when they plan their retreat.
  • Summer Campers will be able to use the climbing center during their camp session.
  • Groups can book day events using the climbing center and other activity areas
