Trail Ride Details
Trail rides are a great opportunity to enjoy horses and nature with your friends and family. A horse trail ride is 45 minutes and typically consists of:
- Safety orientation with techniques for guiding your horse
- Mounting and preparing to ride
- Wrangler guided ride through our pastures and woodland trails
- Returning to the hitching post and dismounting
Trail Rides for Local Groups and Families
Trail rides are available for Girl Scouts, youth groups, birthdays, family groups and other locals. Reserve a ride time today! Please make note of the following conditions:
- The cost for a trail ride is $30 per person.
- Every rider must have a liability release signed, if rider is a minor it must be signed by a parent or guardian.
- All riders for must be at least 10 years old.
- Minimum riders per ride is 5, maximum is 8; members from the group waiting for riders are welcome to use our garden next to the riding area with canopy for calm activities.
- Helmets are provided for all riders, though participants may bring their own ASTM/SEI approved riding helmets, our staff will check and approve helmet before riding.
- Riders must be able to mount horses with no physical assistance from staff; staff will give directions to the rider while standing near the horse’s head.
Trail Rides for Overnight Guests
Our guests who are participating in a Retreat or Outdoor Education Program can add a trail ride to their stay. Ride times are arranged by the group leader. Please make note of the following conditions:
- The cost for a trail ride is $20 per person.
- Liability waiver for riders is included in the group’s event agreement, check with group leader for insurance coverage.
- All riders for must be at least 10 years old.
- Minimum riders per ride is 5, maximum is 8; members from the group waiting for riders are welcome to use our garden next to the riding area with canopy for calm activities.
