Superteen

The best week of the summer for high schoolers where they will feel safe, respected, and will get be a part of a genuinely healthy community. Our staff love to play alongside, listen well, and showcase what a life with Jesus after high school can look like.

Session Description

This weeklong session is designed specifically for today’s high schoolers. We encourage participation in our active games and also let them just rest outside watching the action or the clouds. Superteeners often gather at picnic tables to share stories or at the sand volleyball court for some laughs. Our cabin leaders love to listen to campers share their stories and then use their own personal experiences to encourage them to include Jesus in their high school journey. This week is highlighted by our Carpetball Tournament and the late-night Hill Chapel Party Town! This week has just the right mix of high energy action, time to chat and chill, and space to ask tough questions or be curious about what their peers are experiencing. Our staff are trained in listening and helping teens learn how to get along with campers from all walks of life and how to make camp fun for everyone!

There are interactive chapel times complete with worship music they’ll want stuck in their head, professional communicators who’ll make God’s Word come to life, and cabin group discussions based on a teaching theme from the Bible. All teaching is designed to be applicable for high school aged campers of all types and will aid them in becoming better lifelong followers of Jesus.

Phantom Ranch staff actively teach campers how to have fun together and to treat each other with respect and civility, paying close attention to coed interactions.

All Phantom Ranch staff are screened then trained in a variety of topics including our child protection policies, emergency action plans, responding to a variety of camper needs, and helping campers conquer homesickness.
